Italian artisan distillery inspired by pop culture
Distilleria Mezzanotte is the first artisanal distillery in Pesaro, founded in 2021 by Alex Bartolucci (Master Distiller) and Giacomo Bracci (Art Director).
Mezzanotte Spirits is our independent brand born from a passion for quality Italian spirits, pop culture and the desire to tell authentic stories through artisanal gin, bitters, liqueurs, vodka and absinthe .
A dream born at midnight
In 2020, as the world ground to a halt, we decided to dream: we wanted to create something of our own, authentic and narrative.
This is how Distilleria Mezzanotte was born, a few steps from the sea in Pesaro, where artisanal tradition, technology, and storytelling meet.
Who's behind Midnight?
Alex Bartolucci – Master Distiller
Born in 1989, Alex grew up surrounded by family cuisine and the scents of his family. His passion for distilling stems from his grandfather, who secretly distilled grappa in the cellar at home, and it was further strengthened by experiences in Italy and Australia.
Today he leads the production: selecting botanicals, creating recipes, and distilling, mixing modern and traditional techniques, using his partner, the “Percival,” a handcrafted Müller Brennereianlagen still, and high-tech Swiss precision instruments such as the Büchi R-300 Rotavapor.
Giacomo Bracci – Art Director
Born in 1988, Giacomo has a background in graphic design studies, branding and photography for Cultural Heritage and years of work experience in the world of high fashion between shots, social media and high-end retouching.
At the distillery he takes care of communication and visual identity, designs labels and transforms each bottle into a small graphic journey inspired by anime, video games and mythology .
It is not possible to separate him from his laptop and smartphone

Every detail counts
We produce everything in-house, without outsourcing. We use only select botanicals , work with 100% renewable energy , and limit waste. Each recipe is born from a story or legend: the cocoa in Gin Mezzanotte recalls childhood, the oranges evoke teenage summers, the limes evoke the desire to explore .
